October 2026 CPI is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 8:30 AM Eastern Time. For traders reviewing Kalshi’s monthly event, the practical task is to separate that release time from the earlier trading cutoff, expiration, and eventual payout. The BLS schedule remains subject to updates.
Primary sources checked: the BLS 2026 release calendar, the BLS November 2026 schedule, the BLS CPI release calendar, and Kalshi’s KXCPI-26OCT event API record. The visible source snapshot for this guide is September 13, 2026, at approximately 05:32 to 05:33 UTC.
The following compact calendar separates the economic report from the trading timestamps found in the September 13 source snapshot.
Calendar item | Verified detail
Reference month | October 2026
BLS release | Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 8:30 AM ET, which is 13:30 UTC
KXCPI-26OCT snapshot close | 8:25 AM ET, which is 13:25 UTC, based on the exact event record and nested market close times
October year-over-year event | Not listed by the requested API endpoint as of September 13, 2026
Generic CPI terms | 8:29 AM ET last trading time and 8:31 AM ET expiration, creating an unresolved conflict with the exact event’s 8:25 AM cutoff
November 10 falls after daylight saving time ends on November 1. New York will be on Eastern Standard Time, so 8:30 AM ET converts to 13:30 UTC. Traders should not assume a fixed UTC conversion across releases. For example, the September-data CPI release on October 14 occurred during Eastern Daylight Time, when 8:30 AM ET was 12:30 UTC.
The KXCPI monthly series record names the Bureau of Labor Statistics as its settlement source and links to the generic CPI contract terms. Those terms define a signed, one-month percentage change in the seasonally adjusted CPI-U for all items, rounded to one decimal place.
That measure should not be confused with either of the following:
The BLS CPI homepage is the primary destination for the official report. The BLS calendar also schedules Real Earnings for 8:30 AM ET on November 10, but that is a separate release. No October CPI value, consensus estimate, or market-implied forecast is established by the sources reviewed for this advance guide. The general contract process is covered separately in this guide to CPI inflation market mechanics.
The exact September 13 API snapshot for KXCPI-26OCT returned an event titled “CPI in October,” with seven nested markets marked active at that time. Each nested record showed a close time of 2026-11-10T13:25:00Z. The event’s secondary rules also stated that the market would close at 8:25 AM ET on the scheduled release day.
However, the generic CPI terms PDF listed 8:29 AM ET as the last trading time and 8:31 AM ET as expiration. This guide does not treat either document as automatically controlling the other. Traders should compare the exact market page, event-specific rules, generic terms, and any subsequent updates directly on Kalshi before November 10.
Four timestamps must remain separate:
The exact October monthly rules also contain a contingency for a government shutdown that delays or affects the reliability of the source data. That clause should be read in full. Its existence does not predict a shutdown, a delay, a revised release date, or a particular payout result.
Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated, USD-settled prediction market and requires identity verification. Access can be available internationally subject to the Member Agreement, restricted jurisdictions, identity verification, and local law. The CFTC designated contract market record documents regulatory status, but it does not mean the CFTC approves this exact contract or guarantees universal availability.
Schedule reminders and related market notes may also appear in the @Kalshi_market channel, but final contract details should always come from Kalshi and the named settlement source.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics currently schedules the report for Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 8:30 AM Eastern Time. Because daylight saving time ends earlier that month, the scheduled release corresponds to 13:30 UTC. This is a planned calendar entry rather than a guarantee, so traders should recheck the BLS calendar before release day.
CPI reports are published after the reference month ends because BLS must collect, process, and prepare the underlying price data. “October 2026” identifies the period measured, while November 10 is the scheduled publication date. Calling it the November CPI report without clarifying the reference month can create confusion with November data scheduled for release in December.
The September 13 API snapshot for KXCPI-26OCT showed an 8:25 AM ET close on November 10, five minutes before the scheduled BLS release. The generic CPI terms PDF instead listed 8:29 AM ET for last trading and 8:31 AM ET for expiration. That discrepancy remains unresolved here, so traders should verify the exact current rules directly on Kalshi.
The requested October year-over-year event endpoint returned a 404 as of September 13, 2026, although the broader KXCPIYOY series existed and named BLS as its source. This only means that the specific October event was not returned in that dated snapshot. It does not establish whether Kalshi will list one later, when it might appear, or what its terms would be.
