Ryder Cup 2027: Dates, Adare Manor and Kalshi Tie Rule

The Ryder Cup matches take place September 17 through 19, 2027, at Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland. The full event week runs September 13 through 19, but those first four days are build-up, not competition. For traders, another distinction matters: the verified Kalshi event includes a separate Tie outcome, so retaining the trophy is not necessarily an outright win.

Primary sources checked: October 8, 2026. The official Ryder Cup date announcement establishes the timetable; the exact Kalshi event record establishes the market snapshot. This is a static guide, not a live odds feed.

Ryder Cup 2027 dates and Adare Manor schedule

The organizer confirms Adare Manor as the venue for the 100th-anniversary staging. It will be Ireland's second hosting after 2006. These are local Irish calendar dates; the cited date announcement does not establish tee times or a broadcast schedule.

Ryder Cup planning calendar (all dates in 2027)

DateVerified checkpoint
January 18-24The American Express, the scheduled first U.S. qualifying event.
August 22Scheduled qualification checkpoint. Europe allows the final counted tournament scheduled to end then to finish no later than August 23.
Week beginning August 30Both captains select their remaining six players.
September 13-16Four build-up days at Adare Manor, not competition days.
September 17-19Three competition days: Europe versus the United States.

The format is team match play, not an individual 72-hole stroke-play major. Europe and the United States each field 12 players. Each of the first two competition days contains four foursomes and four four-ball matches; the final day contains 12 singles matches.

Readers comparing golf calendars should keep this separate from The Open at St Andrews in July 2027, a different tournament with different participation and outcome questions.

Ryder Cup team qualification: when the rosters take shape

Both teams combine six automatic qualifiers with six captain's selections. Points standings are therefore not confirmed rosters, and neither qualification progress nor a projected lineup establishes the eventual match pairings.

Europe's selection deadline

The official European qualification rules award automatic places to the top six eligible Members on the Ryder Cup Points List on Sunday, August 22, 2027. If the final counted tournament scheduled to end then runs late, its conclusion counts provided it finishes no later than Monday, August 23. Captain Luke Donald selects the remaining six during the week beginning August 30.

The U.S. qualification window

The official U.S. rules specify 31 qualifying events in 2027, beginning with The American Express and concluding through the BMW Championship, scheduled August 16 through 22. The top six eligible U.S. players qualify automatically. Captain Jim Furyk chooses six more during the week of August 30, after the TOUR Championship.

Selection updates matter because the eventual 12-person teams determine the available lineup combinations. Traders should distinguish official selections from predictions about who might qualify.

Kalshi's Ryder Cup tie rule: three outcomes, not two

The October 8, 2026 snapshot of Kalshi's official catalog returned event KXPGARYDER-RC27, titled 2027 Ryder Cup Winner, with three active markets: Team Europe, Team USA and Tie. That snapshot does not establish future availability. Current status and prices must be checked directly on Kalshi.

All three markets contained this secondary rule:

“If the 2027 Ryder Cup ends in a tie after all scheduled matches are completed, the ‘Tie’ market will resolve to Yes, regardless of the Ryder Cup’s official tiebreaking rule in which the previous holder retains the trophy.”

The practical distinction is between the match result and trophy possession. Under this provision, retaining the trophy after a tie is not an outright win. Treating the event as a simple Europe-versus-USA binary would omit an explicitly listed outcome. This rule should not be extended to other golf contracts.

Settlement sources and market clocks

The event record lists Fox Sports, ESPN and The Wall Street Journal as settlement sources, without establishing a hierarchy. The organizer's calendar supports the schedule, but it is not automatically the contract's settlement-source list.

The series links to PGATOUR.pdf, a generic template headed ACHIEVEMENTS. It includes delay, cancellation, revised-result and outcome-review contingencies, including circumstances with fractional payouts rather than an unconditional $1 payment. Read the exact event rules alongside that template rather than assuming every circumstance produces a straightforward Yes or No resolution.

Competition dates, trading close and expiration are different concepts. In the October 8 snapshot, all three markets showed expected_expiration_time of September 19, 2027 at 23:00 UTC, and close_time plus latest_expiration_time of October 3, 2027 at 23:00 UTC. These are observed API fields, not tee times or guaranteed payout appointments. The linked generic template separately describes a 10:00 AM ET expiration time; this guide does not invent a resolution of that timing difference. Delay, cancellation and review provisions must also be read.

A source checklist before placing an order

Before trading, check current eligibility and costs directly with Kalshi and the rules applicable to your location. A listed market is not a promise that every reader can access it.

Source references include the official event page, the linked qualification pages and event record above, plus Kalshi's explanations of market rules and market outcomes. Frequently Asked Questions

The matches start Friday, September 17, 2027, and finish Sunday, September 19. The full event week at Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland, begins Monday, September 13. September 13 through 16 are build-up days, not competition days. These are local Irish calendar dates, not verified tee times.

Does Kalshi count Ryder Cup trophy retention as a win after a tie?

The verified 2027 event's secondary rule says the Tie market resolves to Yes if the Ryder Cup ends in a tie after all scheduled matches are completed, regardless of the previous holder retaining the trophy. Trophy retention therefore should not be treated as an outright win under this provision. Check the current exact event rules before trading.

When are the 2027 Ryder Cup teams selected?

Automatic qualification is scheduled to conclude around August 22, 2027. Europe's rules allow the final counted tournament to finish by August 23 under the specified postponement condition. Is there a Kalshi market for the 2027 Ryder Cup winner?

The October 8, 2026 catalog snapshot showed event KXPGARYDER-RC27 with active Team Europe, Team USA and Tie markets. That is dated evidence, not a promise of current availability. Verify active status, exact outcome rules, fees, settlement text and eligibility directly on Kalshi before placing an order.
